BUKIT MERTAJAM, 21 March 2023 – The Penang, Kedah and Perlis Trade Union Affairs Department has organized a Union Awareness Program together with the Bukit Mertajam National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN).
The program, which was attended by approximately 150 students of IKBN Bukit Mertajam, was held for the purpose of fostering awareness about the advantages and rights of workers through the establishment of a trade union. The program participants were also exposed to information related to collective bargaining with employers to create a more fair, equitable and productive work environment.
This ceremony was officiated by the Assistant Director General of the Trade Union Movement Division, Trade Union Affairs Department Mr. Mohd Azhar bin Ahmad.
