Nibong Tebal, Penang | 9 August 2025 (Saturday)
The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) through the Department of Trade Union Affairs (JHEKS) is organizing the inaugural edition of the 2025 Workers’ Sports Championship (SUPER) at USM Nibong Tebal Campus from 8 to 10 August 2025, attended by more than 500 participants including union members from across the country, KESUMA representatives, referees and supporters.
The opening ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Azman Bin Mohd Yusof, Secretary General of KESUMA who stressed that this tournament supports the principles of Wellbeing and Inclusion of MADANI Malaysia through health, unity and togetherness activities.

This tournament is in recognition of union members who empower workers’ voices and strengthen the labor ecosystem, as well as fostering a spirit of unity, a healthy lifestyle and close relationships among various backgrounds.
Five events were contested, namely football, netball, badminton, picklewood and e-sports, involving teams from nine state JHEKS.

As a continuation, the National Trade Union Assembly will be held on 6 September 2025 in Penang with the participation of 3,000 union members from across the country.
