Putrajaya November 5, 2024 – Today was the Speech Competition in conjunction with Trade Union Consensus Month 2024 which was officiated by YBrs Tuan Sutekno Bin Ahmad Belon, Deputy Secretary General (Operations) of the Ministry of Human Resources. This competition was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, KESUMA as part of the celebration of Trade Union Consensus Month. This competition aims to foster awareness about workers’ rights and the role of trade unions in defending the welfare of the workforce in Malaysia.
Participants from various trade unions delivered passionate speeches, covering important issues related to workers’ rights, the importance of unity, and the challenges of the world of work. This competition not only sharpens the communication skills of union members but also strengthens the spirit of solidarity and consensus.
The ceremony ended with the presentation of prizes to the winners in appreciation for their courage and eloquence in voicing workers’ issues. It is hoped that this competition will continue to invigorate the union spirit and increase understanding of the important role of trade unions in society.
