22 – 25 July 2025 | Cherengin Hills Resort, Pahang
The Planning and Policy Division (BPD) of the Department of Trade Union Affairs (JHEKS) successfully organised the Directors’ Conference: Mid-Term Review 2025 from 22 to 25 July 2025 at Cherengin Hills Resort, Pahang. This strategic conference brought together the top leadership of JHEKS, including the Director General, Deputy Director General, Senior Division Directors, State Directors, Deputy Directors, and senior officers from across the department.
The main objective of the conference was to review the department’s Operational Activities and Key Performance Targets (SKU) up to June 2025 and to realign the department’s direction and strategies for the remaining year. Various sessions were held, including in-depth discussions on current performance, strategic alignment, the Main JHEKS Meeting, and the presentation of the JHEKS Resolution, which outlines key outcomes to be achieved before the upcoming Senior Directors’ Conference.

Among the positive outcomes of this conference were the enhancement of strategic clarity across all levels, improved alignment between headquarters and state offices, a reinforced commitment to achieving performance targets, and the introduction of refined initiatives to address emerging challenges. The conference also served as a platform to promote cross-functional collaboration and stronger policy coherence.
In his closing address, the Director General of JHEKS expressed his appreciation for the dedication and active participation of all attendees. He stressed the importance of sustained strategic alignment and operational excellence in ensuring that JHEKS remains responsive and relevant to the needs of trade unions.

He further expressed his hope that the spirit of unity and focus demonstrated during the conference would continue to guide JHEKS’ leadership and officers in their daily roles.
“We must not be complacent with current successes; instead, we must continue to move forward with proactive strategies, resilience, and innovation to strengthen the department’s impact and legacy.”
It is hoped that the insights and resolutions from this Mid-Term Review will serve as a catalyst for excellence, leading JHEKS towards greater achievements by the end of 2025.
